Will any mini disks work with Sony Mavica?

I have a Sony Mavica 500 that still works great but am having a difficlut time locating the mini cdrw's or cdr's. No local computer or camera retail store stocks them.

Is the Memorex MD 80 the correct disk for that camera? I tried to get tech support at Memorex and got into a loop with no help!

I did a search for mini cdrw's and got lots of hits but most are out of stock or are not found on the site when I get there.

As far as I can tell, the camera uses standard mini CDs and not Sony's propriatary(or is it?) Minidisc. I'm pretty sure any small CD would work fine. I mean do the CDs work fine in your computer? If so, it should work as a standard CD-RW, just a smaller size. If you could convert the casing, you probably could use larger CDs on it(of course, limited to the width of the laser's travel...)
