Will Dual Channel Memory work if MB doesnt support?

Was shopping at best buy and saw cheap memory for sale but it was dual channel... the csr said that it would work and that if it isnt "best buy has insurance".... anyway will it work on my mb if it doesnt support dual channel memory, i dont see why not

thanks, but it will run the same as single channel memory (same specs)? after i installed it i now have 1406 available memory. where is the extra 160 mb?

hehe oh yeah, not for long hopefully xpress 200 ... im not that much newb to comps just been a while since ive read/played with hardware... i was thinking of maybe a x1300?? pro maybe... what would be a decent 256 pcie card for about 60$?? ive been looking everywhere ebay, ubid, egghead, pricewatch...
