Will GDDR2 work on GDDR?

OK the question is pretty flat out. Will GDDR2 work on GDDR since the pin count is still the same (unlike with RAM).
 
GDDR doesn't work like DDR. You can't add ram to your graphics card (unless you're dating back to the REALLY old ones), so GDDR and GDDR2 have no compatibility issues since you can't have both on 1 card.
 
GDDR memory is soldered onto the video card. If your asking if you can remove it, and solder on GDDR2, I highly doubt it would work.
 
No, no. I use DDR. I know I can't upgrade to DDR2 because of incompatibility (if we talk about RAM) But some GPU's use GDDR and some use GDDR2. I have and AGP that uses GDDR. If I got GDDR2 GPU will it still work?

Oh I see what you mean, and yes it will. All you really need to look for is that it's compatible with your AGP slot, like making sure if it's a 4x/8x card, that you have a 4x/8x slot.

You can have a card that has GDDR, GDDR3, or GDDR4, or anything else, as long as the card is compatible with your version AGP slot.
 
Will I get better performance with GDDR2? And doesn't the CPU's FSB determine the DDR or DDR2 (and does it work like that on GDDR and GDDR2) Ir is it just the RAM itself that determines it? (also is it just the GPU that determines it)?
 
DDR, DDR2 are different types of RAM. The RAM has nothing to do with the FSB of the computer... I don't know much about the different kinds of GDDR's, but the higher the number, the faster the RAM. This is not a sure sign of more performace, though.
