Will I need to upgrade PSU?

You can see my current specs in my sig, but I'm looking into buy a Phenom quad (either 95W or 125W, not sure) and an ATI Radeon 4850 soon. I have a Zalman CPU fan (9700) on its way today. Will I need to buy a new PSU to safely handle all of these? I might do some conservative overclocking, too.

My current PSU is an Antec TruePower Trio 550W, 18W per 12V (x3).

ATI lists this PSU as OK to handle the 4850 or even the 4870, but I'm not entirely sure...

I would definitely recommend a new PSU, especially for overclocking. Given the expensive nature of your hardware, I suggest going with a quality PSU, (eg. Corsair). Aim for something in the 650w+ range and I think you should be alright; but the higher the better, especially for future upgrades.

Phenom (9950? 95W Deneb?), DDR2 1066 RAM, ATI 4850...now a new PSU...

The list keeps on growing haha. =P Guess I'm going to have to hold off on the upgrades for a bit and get all the performance I can out of my current rig. Even with my pansy GPU overclock, I picked up an average of about 5 fps.

Perhaps you could sacrifice a bit in the card area? The GeForce 8800 line of cards is still going strong for most newer games.

What are you saying? Antec is not a name brand PSU company? LOL

A 550w Antec PSU is good to handle an ATI 4850. The card only has 1 six pin power connector to run it. You do not need to upgrade the PSU...it will be fine.

Stop giving this guy advice...the ATI 4850 will walk on the 8800 GT and both cards only require a single PCI-E six pin power connector. The 4850 does consume a little more power than the 8800 GT but you'll see the difference and know where the extra power is going.

Just grab the corsair 750w, is pretty cheap and you won't have problems until you get a crossfire of 4870x2

I never said Antec was not a brand name company, so I don't know what you're talking about. Also, it would appear as though I miscalculated the power usage of his other components. Also, please keep in mind that you can correct someone without being rude.
