im currently running on a dell dimension C521 and was wondering if this CPU would work on my motherboard at system BIOS v1.1.11

this is the computer, cant find anything on the actual motherboard

ive heard of other people getting a 2.6 GHz athlon 64 x2 to work fine, but im not so sure.

PS im not looking for reccomendations. just please state a yes or no, and possibl define why

Would he see much of an increase in processing power upgrading from an Athlon 4000 Dual-Core to an Athlon 5400 Dual-Core processor? In my opinion I don't think so.

Are you sure his motherboard would also support the Athlon 5400 processor? Dell computers don't upgrade well when it comes to switching processors.
