your touching on a massive subject thats been discussed in gross detail amny times before, in every thread like this it turns out to be concluded that MS are good you couldnt do without them, if they were not company then we wouldnt be in the current state of prgress we are now. Im not open to argue with this cos its an old topic, its been said so many times.duane534 said:Grr... There's just so many people that think Windows == computer, Internet Explorer == Internet, and Outlook (Express) == Email... They're all using this trash. Supposedly, M$ has solutions that actually look reasonably good to make it fast, secure, and whatnot... Where is it? And, why does it look like Windows Vista == (3/4)Mac OS/X and (1/4)*NIX, Internet Explorer 7 == Safari + Firefox, and Outlook == Thunderbird?

Where is Office 2007?
Where is Vista?
Grr...........
dciscouts said:Well, I was just informed yesterday by someone who is up on software stuff that MS just scrapped 60% of the coding for Vista, and is starting over from scratch. How's that for fun?Oh, and I agree with dragon, but I find that usually MS just does a better job of advertising and networking with other companies to get their products on the market. Can anyone say open source?

i.Angel said:I would have never thought of that! I believe that you are 100% correct! Maybe because Microsoft has a little time for Intel to make their 64-bit CPU's, it can scrap the things that wern't working and improve on them. That's probably why the got rid of 60% of the OS
yeh, i'll get it when it comes out, up until then i'll have xp, more maybe linux if i had another pc that was capable of runnig it.LITHIUM said:i think that is something we all can agree on lol hahahaha
