Will moving cards around require me to go through hardware setup again?

Ok, I want to move my video card around a bit because its too close to other hardware, and the nv silencer 6 needs another slot I have heard. In the attached picture, the video card is boxed in pink. The thing boxed in green is a cable decoder to record and watch tv and stuff. I want to move the cable decoder (in green) down a slot because the next slot down is empty. However, I was wondering if I move the cable decoder thing down a slot, will it be like installing it all over again? Will I have to set up my computer all over again for cable and stuff, like in windows media centre and stuff? Or will this do nothing.

I have read that when you play Musical Cards with your standard PCI slots, that you may have to reinstall their drivers and start over. I tried it with my PC, swapping the modem and the Creative PCI 16 sound cards to different slots. "They" were right. I had to reinstall and reconfigure both the cards from scratch. Apparently, when a PCI card is installed, the slot it goes in becomes part of the configuration. Move the card and when the PC boots up, it doesn't find the card in the expected slot, so it's detected as a new card.

Short answer: Yes, it will be like installing it all over again. But put it this way: if you DON'T set it up exactly like you want it, it will bother you every time you use it!
