will my a8n5x take an opteron cpu?

ive been thinking about upgrading my gpu, cpu, and possibly ram. unfortunately no one has any 939 3800+x2's anymore and im not sure whether i want to bump up to say a 4200+x2. so, i was thinking id get an opteronx2, but im not sure if my mobo will take it. newegg says the board is compatible only with athlons, but people who purchased the opteron said it worked on their board.

those should work in your board, if you would have trouble often times a bios update adds support for more processors

Go for 165 and up. They're are the dual cores.
