I have a Dell with this mobo F5949 K5148 G1548 C242 and wanted to know if a can get any card for it. It has three PCI slots but I was told that just cause it fits, it does not mean it will work. Any help would be great. I dont mind upgrading my PSU either. And while I am in there I would like to add some more RAM like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220040 Thanks in advance.

Well the PSU and the RAM compatibility are your main concerns. You need to make sure the ram will fit and you need to make sure your Power supply will have enough power to support everything..new vid card..w/e

Please stay in one thread. You already started one about this yesterday. If its a dell computer, please call them to verify what card will be compatible. What model of dell is it?

dimension 2400. Sorry I thought I had put it in the wrong section since it's a mobo question.

Call Dell to verify what video card can fit in there. Most of the Dell computers made back back then had a limit of 128mb video card. I had the 4550 and it could only have up to 128mb due to motherboard limitations not power supply.
