Will my mobo support this processor

I was just reading my booklet for Nvidia nforce 4 motherboard and it says in the specs that it supports up to 4000+ but also says future support for dual core processors. Am I correct in assuming an amd 64 x2 5600+ will not work?

No, a 5600 is only available (as far as I know) in Socket AM2. Your board only supports socket 939.
