I have just orderd the OCZ StealthXStream 500W for my pc to upgrade my colours it (very cheap) 400w power supply.

Will this be okay to power my system smoothly and a single Ati 4870 graphics card that I am planning on buying soon?

(The ati catalouge says this card requires an extra 160w power)

It'll be fine but you may need to get a better one in the future if you add other things to your PC. If you plan on doing a Crossfire configuration or something extreme like that, you may need a bit extra power.

Okay im just worrying for no reason, there are not many reviews and the ones I have found people are saying its okay for entry level cards. I was going to get the Corsair 450w but this ocz was on a good deal. So will this supply give out 500w constantly okay? The thing that made it look solid was the 3 year warranty but I dont know much about ocz.

OCZ is a very reputable brand that caters to computer enthusiasts. Also, it doesn't need to give out 500W constantly, a PSU only takes the power it needs. If your computer doesn't need 500W, the PSU won't take 500W. Also, maxing out a PSU for long periods isn't good for it, but you won't be doing it with that rig.

Thanks, I feel a bit better now because there was no reviews and I dont understand much about power supplies atm.
