Will router interfere with air card?

About a 1 1/2 years ago I had asked about using a router with an air card
http://www.computerforum.com/176021-internet-air-card-router.html
and was told that they wouldn't work together.

I have a couple new dimensions to my router and air card situation. Originally I wanted to have my laptop in different room then my air card. I've since moved and that situation doesn't pertain any longer. My new apartment is also in an area with poor reception, but I don't have a need to have the laptop in a different room. I still need the portability of the air card so would rather work with it.

Since the thread in the link I've gotten a Wi-Fi capable printer (that I have to string a cord across the room for when I use it) and a Wi-Fi HDTV (which is in a different room). Each of these items would be nice to use a router with seeing my laptop doesn't have a built in router.

I don't necessarily have a need to use the internet with the TV, so connecting the TV to the net isn't important to me.

If I got a router to connect the TV and the printer to my laptop, would that mess up my air card's internet connection to the laptop?

No, it wouldn't. You should have no issue getting a router to hook up your wireless printer to your laptop and still use the aircard for internet. Aircard I assume is USB correct?

You should get a router specifically designed to work with an aircard. Check out routers from Cradlepoint. Not sure who told you your aircard won't work with a router, not true, just need the right router. You would be able to share your aircard connection and use your wifi printer with the same router.
