Will the 3770k work on my Motherboard? Please help

Hey. I have the Asus p8p67 evo Rev1.0 motherboard (socket 1155).
There's an i7 3770k for sale in the classifieds and I think it'll work with my mobo, but maybe not? Maybe with a bios update or something? Help asap would be appreciated so I can do the deal or not.

As per John, with the correct BIOS then it will work.

Without updating the BIOS it will likely fail to POST. My P8P67 Deluxe refused to POST with an Ivy Bridge CPU on an older BIOS revision.
