Will This Be a Problem?

Hi everyone, I wasnt sure what topic this should go under, so I put it here.
Anyway, i have a Thermaltake HSF on the way from newegg, should be here tomorrow. My question is, it has a 3-pin mobo connector, but my Intel HSF I am using now is a 4-pin mobo connector. My mobo is an ASUS P5GD1, and it has two fan ports: One says CPU_FAN, it has a ground, CPU fan power, CPU fan in, and CPU fan PWM (dunno what that means) pins. The other says: PWR_FAN and has ground, +12V, and rotation pins. It seems like the HSF should be on the first one, but it is only 3...What should I do? Does it need an adapter?

Thanks for the help,
Derek

Weird. On another forum I'm a member of, they thought it was bad to use the 3-pin on a 4-pin slot. So anyone else?

THanks,
Derek

It's perfectly fine, I have the same board.

Yeah, I thought it was you who had the same board. Well, thanks for the info. Will the fan be controlled by the mobo, like can I adjust fan speed and everything?

Thanks,
Derek

Actually, it's kinda creepy, I had almost all the same hardware (where it's not the same I had equivalent parts, like 1GB Corsair, Seagate 120GB HD except for case and PSU)

just to let you know what PWM means:

Google Define said:
Pulse Width Modulation. An acronym which describes a switch-mode control technique used in amplifiers and drivers to control motor voltage and current. This control technique is in contrast to linear control and offers the advantages of greatly improved efficiency.
