Im sure it will be compatible with that mobo. My card is ddr3 and my mobo is stock out of an hp and it works great.

as long as your motherboard has a pci x16 slot then it will work fine.

GPU RAM and system RAM are completely independent. The only issue with compatability and GPUs you really need to worry about is the interface. I think PCI-Express has improved over AGP, but just recently I tried to use a 4x card in a 1x or 2x slot without sucess. The machine wouldn't even POST.

Just to throw in my redundant opinion....I think most graphics cards use DDR3 memory nowadays. My motherboard uses DDR2 and my graphics card uses DDR3, so it's definitely normal.
