Will this computer cut it?

Okay - I think I found the computer that I am looking for, very appealing looking and it looks to have the stats I need. However, this review I read says it basically sucks. Can you guys help me confirm this?

I just want it for websurfing, pictures, music, and hooking up to my 42inch tv for movies (hopefully HD).

Can you read this and tell me if the performance this guy is talking about would hinder any of these things?

what do you mean by pictures and music?
do you mean save your photos from a digicam or edit with photoshop?
do you mean listen to mp3s and CDs or will you be mixing and composing?

this laptop will do basic stuff really well, for a long time on battery. he compares it to a netbook, seems you can get similar performance for cheaper somewhere else.

also, there's no mention of dvd-rom, how are you going to watch movies?
