will This cpu fan work with socket am2 it says 940 but correct me if I'm wrong but I think I heard that socket 940 is the same as socket am2 from here
 
Close but, no cigar........

It might be able to be put on the PSU but, would it take that much longer to find another cooler that is meant for it?

isn't that a cpu fan and are you saying that I might be able to put it on a power supply? don't get it I want it as a cpu fan

I think he meant to say CPU, there are so many coolers built for AM2....just find another, for $50 you can get a better cooler than that anyway
 
will this work? or is it only for thermalright?

Edit: if that doesn't work is there something like that for zalman?
