Will this cpu work? old

First post, hi all.

I have a Chaintech CT-6AJA4 motherboard which has a groovy 650mhz cpu, I would like to upgrade it, manual says max 1ghz so not much of an upgrade I know. What I would like to know is would the new cpu work on the motherboard?

I'm getting totally confused about the different specs associated with cpu's and need help.

Motherboard manual says it can take 133mhz and the pins are set to auto.
Bus/core ratio is different though, is that the same as multiplier? if so i'll have to change that on the motherboard?

Cool, thanks you two.

One thing though, the bus/core ratio, will I have to change that on the motherboard from 6.5 to 7.5? Theres a thing with 4 slider thingies 1-4.

Although TBH I did have a quick look at it and all the sliders appeared to be all up or all down. where as the pic shows 6.5 as 2 on and 2 off? Or has that got nothing to do with the bus/core ratio?

One last thing, the manual says max 1ghz is that true or could I go faster?
