rawcomputers New Member Oct 11, 2010 #7 No, your processor is AM2 and you've got an AM3 socket on that board. If going with that board (like your heart is set on it) go for an athlon ii x3 or x4 or a phenom ii. Also you'll need DDR3 ram.

StrangleHold Moderator Staff member Oct 11, 2010 #8 Like said above. Your 940 is a AM2+ processor. The Asus is a AM3 socket. Wont work.
