Olevia is a fine brand. We were considering buying one for a while, but I just got a projector instead.

I actually have that exact monitor(got a ridiculous deal on it at best buy for 189+tax) and that exact video card(640mb), and I love it. I upgraded from a 19 inch crt, and it is super bright and sharp. It is one of the, if not the best rated monitor for its price range and size.

Not to mention that the Olevia has a crap max resolution(1366xw/e) and that would look like 1024x768 would on a normal 17 inch monitor. Olevia's were made to be TV's and not computer monitors. That Acer is definitely worth the money imo. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

And I think it is pretty safe to assume that any lcd monitor you can buy in this country will work with the 8800gts.
