Will this motherboard work with the CPU?

Hi,

Will this mobo work with this CPU out of the box? The gigabyte page here says it will, if it is a REV2.0 board, but not if it is a REV1.0 board. The ebuyer page does not specify which one it is.

The REV1.0 will work if you update the bios (I think). Is ity safe to assume the ebuyer one will be the REV2.0 board, or if not, at least have the latest bios installed?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I do not want to make an expensive mistake!

Also, it says that it takes 1.8v memory, but all the 2x 2GB modules I can see are 2.0v - 2.2v. Will these work?

It has the SB700 chip, so its the Rev 1.0 Rev 2.0 has the SB710. Nobody here could know what bios is installed, get ahold of the seller and ask. Yes the memory will work.

Cheers for your quick answer! Are there any boards that will support AM2+ Phenom II's? Or should I save for an AM3 chip.
