Will this ruin my CPU?

Im wondering if this setup will ruin my cpu/motherboard.

Ok, so i have these memory modules (Kingston DDR2 1066mhz Hyper X), which IS compatable with my motherboard, but the CPU that i have installed (Athlon 64 single core AM2) states on its website that it has supported DDR2 speeds of 667mhz.
So if i install these memory modules with the processor (i havent done yet), will this overwork the processor to a point its not designed and ruin it? or will it simply overheat and sound like a jet engine all day long, i need to make sure of this befoe i power on.

More than likely your system will become unstable due to how high the on die memory controller would need to clock the memory. Ive heard of 1066mhz being unstable on the Phenom I cpu's as they only officially support 800mhz. YMMV

so, if i had a memory module that is 667mhz (which is supported), and i added another to the system, would that count for 1334 mhz and in turn make the system unstable like you mentioned, or will it run as normal.
im really looking for two 1gb 667mhz ddr2's, this should work without instability right?

You can run as many 667mhz memory modules as your motherboard supports(i would guess your mobo has 4 memory slots), and you could probably get by with two 800mhz modules if you wanted.

i know that, but in terms of the CPU, will two 667 mhz run fine, since the motherboard wont need to underclock them for the processor right?

Correct, 667mhz memory will be fine. You could even underclock 1066mhz memory if need be and could probably run tighter timings due to lower speeds.
