I'm basically just looking for some approval that all of the components are going to place nice together (i.e. RAM, MB, ... etc.)

When it comes to computers, im a little behind and can proudly clame that I usually have no idea what I'm talking about.

This setup will be used mostly for gaming & media content.

Will it work?

&& I apologize for not having links to the specified components .. sorry

First off, I would just get 2 dvd burners. It would be virtually the same price anyway. Both would be able to do anything, besides play blu-ray of course.

Secondly, unless that memory is a good deal, I would just get 2 2GB sticks. Should be virtually the same price as well, unless what you listed is a special or something.

Would you suggest getting the dame dvd burner for both?

&& the 2 2G sticks were about $50 more if I remember right.

Would it be better to upgrade the 4x1G Sticks to a better quality of RAM or just get 2x2G Sticks? I don't plan on adding any more RAM later on.

The same dvd burner for both would be just fine.

If you don't plan on upgrading to any more memory, go ahead and get the 4X1GB sticks, since it is cheaper.

everything looks sweet,it should be great.

however, why not go Quad core? and also i would get Vista if i was you.

Direct X10 ;)

is a Floppy drive realy needed? :D put the money towards a nice card reader OR a fan control bay or something more usefull.

Yeah, I was thinking about upgrading the CPU, and Vista ... but I've never used Vista before and wasn't sure about it.

Is it worth trying?

And a fan control bay ... Not entirely sure what you mean by that. The case comes with a fan control and temperature display. Is that what you were talking about?

Got rid of the floppy drive, as it made sense not to have it ...

I changed both the cd drives to: Sony 20X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive ... Is that what I want have?

I also upgraded the 4x1G RAM sticks to new, better performing sticks.

&& I had a question about a flash memory reader ... What exactly do these do? What kind of media do they read?

And if nothing else, can somebody else give me their approval that these components are going to work together? Don't wanna have to deal with the RAM not working with the motherboard, or the case not fitting a drive.

Wish I had some sense when it came to computers ...
