yes it will work but u will have better results if u put the hub that is in your room in the kitchen right after the dsl modem.

yes that is true. but if u do it the way u have it set up in your picture if u want to use the x box or the pc 2 then pc 1 will have to be turned on.
 
Sounds like you are going to be using the PC to be the DHCP server for the XBOX and the PS2. Correct?

That will work and I know how it is to run a cable through the house.. Currently doing that with no problems.
