Will ubuntu give me more video memory.

I really want to play AOE III on my new laptop (Toshiba A205-S4587), but it has an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 :( which is integrated with a max memory of 254mb. So when i go to play aoe iii it says that my comp only has 32mb of memory and it needs 64 to play it. Is there anyway that i can get it to 64mb. I also downloaded ubuntu and winehq will this help at all to get my memory up. As you can tell i dont know to much about computers. Thanks.
 
installing a different OS will not help. Make sure you have downloaded and installed ALL the latest drivers for your laptop as i cant see why you cant play this game.
 
When your computer boots it usually says, Hit a certain key to enter setup. Hit whatever key it says and that should take you there.
 
i went to system utilities (f2 when you go to start up windows vista) and it didnt say anything about bios except that it was bios version 1.02 or something like that.It did not say anything about graphics memory either.:(
 
i had a toshiba satelite with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200m, and it was standard at 64mb if video, then i upgraded the ram from 512mb to 1gb and the video mb increased to 128mb, and i looked it up and on most laptops the more ram the more the video can perform. if you already have one 1gb then i guess thats it plus why would u but a laptop with intel media accelerator, thats the shittiest video ever, when i look for a laptop if it has that i move on to the next one.

Like i said i dont know that much about computers. And i especially didnt know much about computers 2 weeks ago lol but now i know and i will learn next time. Ill probably just get a tower withing 6 months and build it myself:D.

if you dont know anything about computers it will be difficult to build one lol
