Hello. I'm using win 8.1. I have 2 hard drives, 1 SSD and 1 HDD. I was going to uninstall a game in the HDD (: D) that wasn't available through the normal control panel -> uninstall move. I only have 1 accounts, and it's the administrator, but when I try to delete the game folder, it says " You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder". I click continue, and after a while it says " You require permission from Added-PC\Added to make changes to this folder". When I click try again, the same message just pops up.

I have tried different things, but they just don't work. Someone heeelp meee :(

Edit: Also I should mention that I have no problem changing files on my SSD, but I can't even create a new folder in my HDD .

To clarify: I cannot change the permissions of folders without receiving an error message, like this http://imgur.com/DTzk7yd

Download this file.

Unzip it. Double click on installtakeownership.reg. It will ask if you want it merged into the registry. Click yes. Click ok on the next screen.

Then all you need to do is right click on the folder or file you want access to and click on take ownership. You will see the comand prompt box appear and will see it working. When its done, you should have access to that folder.

I downloaded it and averything, but it doesn't work. The comand prompt box says "access denied".

I also said something incorrect before. I do have control over my : D harddrive, but it's just this specific folder I can't do anything with, so it's not so bad. Still, for funsies I'd like to fix this.

In these scenarios I boot off a USB with Linux (I prefer Lubuntu or Linux Mint) and just delete them with that. It doesn't care at all about Windows access :)
