Check all your connections, data and power. Also remove and reinsert your memory. This is usually signs of a loose connection.

OK checked connections still bouncing back and forth don't know how to check data can't even run msconfig

The cooling fans aren't running very loud but I have never herd them run since she bought it

Can you boot into safe mode? Did you remove and reinsert the memory? How did you clean out the dust?

No safe mode did remove and put memory back and used qtips and vacuumed the bottom of the case with a hose attachment like I always do

Did not touch board when doing something

Is it possible that the bios has changed the sata controller setting from ahci to ide or vice versa? What exactly happens in the boot process? Do you see the windows logo at all? Does it blue screen or reboot on you?

No windows logo at all just. Says HP icon and diagnostics and auto repair then back to diagnostics but doesn't do anything else if you go into system restore or troubleshooting doesn't work either tried to send it back to another date and couldn't do that either how do I see if data has been changed mind you there is no windows disk its all stored on partition

How dou check to see if it has been changed off sata

You access the bios to see if the sata controller setting has been changed. You should be able to do a system recovery by pressing the F10 button at bootup I believe. There should be an option to keep personal data. Or another possibility is that the hard drive has errors now and needs to be checked. Do you know what brand of hard drive it has?

No window logo only HP with auto repair and diagnostics and it repeats auto repair and diagnostics but I did commands and got the tree to show

WD 10ezex 1.0 tb

What do you mean by tree? You can try running Western Digital Drive Diagnostic program. You would need to download and create a hirens boot cd to run the program or download the windows version and attach to the drive to a working pc.

Tree is done in command prompt it shows what's on the hard drive and anything else but I still can't get past the auto repair and diagnostics to even get to windows

I used qtips to clean out the processor and power source then vacuumed put the dust with a hose I didn't touch my motherboard
