Win XP and dx10

So windows xp comes with dx9, and my question is: does it mean that I won't be able to play games in dx10 mode even though my video card supports dx10? Is there any way I can install dx10 on windows xp?

Oh, and by the way my video card is a gts 250 if that matters

DirectX 10 is not available for XP. If you want to play in DirectX 10 you need to upgrade to Vista, 7, or 8.

There is a cracked version, idk if its truly dx10 or just changes the name in dxdiag.

No. DirectX10 was not created for XP and cannot be installed second-hand.

There is a way to play DX 10 games on XP,but not all of the games might work.Here:
