Hi, as the title already sais I am looking for a way how to open a command prompt in Win XP... I dont actually mean the standard way but some other which would probably work even in case of limited Windows acount.

At school the command prompt is forbiddent to be used so I would like to find out some way how to crack it. Do you know about any gap in Windows which might be helpful?

Create a file on your desktop and call it anything with an extension of .bat
inside all you write is:

cmd

Double click to open the command prompt.

i don't actually think you can start cmd that way when it's blocked by a group policy, but you can run other commands in the batfile.

the good old command.com is not restriced the same way as cmd

^ thats what i use at school
To open create either a shortcut or txt file and type: command.com
if shortcut: press ok
if txt: save as... save it as [random name].bat

I agree the CMD does not work in this case... Well I will try to use the commad.com I hope it will work.

If it does not work is somewhere on the net a sort of library which contains all (or mostly all) commands that can be used in .bat file?

Thank you anyways for help
