MY WIN XP SP 2 ON INTEL 945 GCNL MAINBOARD WITH INTEL 3.0 GHz DUAL CORE CPU IS RUNNING OK. BUT WHENEVER I AM PRESSING THE SHUT DOWN BUTTON A WINDOW APPEARS " ERROR WMS IDLE , END PROGRAM WITH A COUPLE OF BUTTON OPTIONS END PROGRAM & CANCEL. ONLY THE PC SHUTS DOWN IF I SELECT END PROGRAM OTHERWISE IT DOES NOT.

ANY HELP FROM ANYONE IS SOLICITED

THANX IN ADVANCE

Download the file. Reboot into last known good configuration. And you can try Pressing start> run> type in sfc /scannow and press enter button, that will scan for any missing or corrupt windows files, it may ask for you to install windows CD when doing this, also make sure there is a space between sfc and / that was not a typo. There is a few options for ya let us know what happens!

Dear Brother
No doubt u have dun a great deed but I haven't find wms.dll file anywhere to download. If u have any link or so it'll be a great help again.

Of course, you cannot download it it's just a componnt in Nero burning.
Please go to Start>Run>type in:msconfig>go to Startup tab>uncheck NMBgMonitor
That will make your computer shut down much faster...Still for perfect running you'd have to uninstall Nero...obviously a corrupted file.
Please do the first part and tell me if it worked.

??? I just did a Google search of "wms.dll nero" and it has only one entry, and that is linked to this thread on this forum.

chhoton, try looking at this Knowledge Base article, it may solve your problem.

Exactly . Please do not correct me,because I am right.
You made a bad google search because you don't understand the problem. There is no word here wms.dll. Mr chhoton and now you have made it up cuz you don't know what wms actually is. It is a part of Nero Burning, a component, which may get corrupt.
What I googled was WMS Idle.
Always search all you got, and in this case we got " ERROR WMS IDLE, not dll. Idle.
Now please Mr chhoton, if you want to solve the problem, please do what I have suggested.
I hope your computer gets 'well'.
Cheers!
