Win XP Start menu right click

Hi, some months ago while trying out those desktop enhancement/management software in download.com, and after uninstalling all of them, I lost my ability to right click on anything in the Programs menu.

Usually I should see right click menu with "open, explore, delete, rename, sort by name, properties".

Also, I couldn't drag any items in the start menu.

Anyone has a way or software to fix this? Like use the registry etc? I can't use system restore since it was too long ago.

Thanks for the link.
Almost....
I did find the checkbox "enable drag and drop" in that list, but only on a laptop I have. This desktop comp with the problem, I can't find the checkbox.

I noticed both comps had 12 checkboxes. My comp has an extra "show log off buttun" that the laptop doesn't have. Then I changed my desktop's user account from the classical login, to the newer xp style (where you click on a name and write the password to login). Now my checkbox list becomes 11, since winxp wanted to hide my "show log off button" checkbox.

Originally I guessed the 12th checkbox would change to the drag&drop once I change the login method. I'm wrong. I feel this is so bizarre. Any registry/desktop experts who know how to manually add the checkbox back??

A second different between my old desktop and laptop, is that in the laptop, when I double click any folder in start menu, a new window opens showing contents inside. But when I double click on folder in desktop comp, first a popup titled "Copy item" comes up asking me where to copy this folder to (showing a hierarchy for me to pick a location). If I press cancel to the copy popup, then the folder's content is revealed in a new window.

Getting too bizarre?
