Win7 dualboot

How do i install Windows 7 to a separate partition for dualboot?i want to try it out without any change to existing Vista Home Basic and all my data?

Pretty straight forward:

Boot from the Win7 installation DVD and make sure select the spare partition (or drive) to install to. If you have multiple copies of Win7 or Vista on your machine, the installer should setup a boot menu for you to select which OS to boot from when you start up.
