Win7 Ult. Language change

Hey everyone,

I was wondering with the win7 ultimate language package. when you change it to chinese will everything change to chinese? such as the menus, my computer, control panel etc or is it able to recognize chinese characters while browsing the internet.

My grandparents can only read chinese, and i was hoping that win7 ultimate can change everything to chinese so it would be easier for them to use.

Maybe reinstall it on their computer as chinese? I've never actually installed a language pack, haha.
 
Im checking now. waiting for reply and likely later.
I doubt it though. Likely new installation. to complicated and
to much to go wrong.

i was curious because a doctor i have travels for volunteer work.
He takes his computer and changes it to the language?
I don't know. then comes back and reformat or changes language again?
don't know. fair question though.
 
Said he never did. Thought it was on a whim. Checked Microsoft and didn't find the info but curious also. If ya find out in your travels let me know.
Thought it was change on the fly and change back again.
Don't know. seen something on you tube but not impressed.
don't have Ultimate and have Pro 64.

You can change the system language (Only on the user account your logged in on) by going to Control Panel > Clock, Language and region and changing the language there. It can also display chinese characters.
 
assuming you downloaded the right language packs for chinese.

Language changes in Ultimate do not require clean installs. (though it is cheaper in most cases to just import a OEM copy from their country, and reinstall from it.)
