Window Explorer Delete issue

I am using my Windows 7 machine. Lately I noticed when I wanted to delete either a folder or file in Window Explorer by pressing the Del key, the item was deleted by it not removed from the screen. So if I thought I had not performed properly with the Del and pressed it again, it would give me error saying the file/folder could not be found.

If I back stepped to the previous screen and come back, the item is gone.

It is annoying and how can I fix it?

Another question regarding WE. It opens the folder in a new WE instead of the same one. So if I clicked a few of the folders I will have multiple WE opened. How can I make it open within itself so it would be always one WE opened?

I get that issue occasionally. If you know you deleted it, just press F5 to refresh the screen.

To make folders open in the same Explorer window, click View>Folder Options and on the General tab, select the radio at top for "Open each folder in the same window".

The "Open each folder in the same window" option had been checked but the problem persists.

I recently changed the default opening to "My Computer" (copy and paste some setting I found in the web) The target area said

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe ,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

I am pretty sure that the issues occurred after I've done that.

Mystery solved!

I found another link about modified the Target of Window Explorer. Copied and pasted that and it now default to "My computer" and it opens the new folder/field in the same window.

This is what I copied:

%windir%\explorer.exe ""
