Ages ago i installed windowblinds and installed an xp theme. When i decided i didnt like it and i wanted to go back to my original xp computer theme i couldnt. Is this because it was a trial version? or should i stay well away from windowblinds?

ya something went wrong because if you uninstal windowblinds then it's not possible to run a windowblinds theme because windows will not recognize it without the windowblinds program and therefore wont see it and neither will you :-)..

Just wanted to mention that I read on the windowblinds website about 2 months ago or so that Alienware where going to start shipping there computers with windowblinds installed as they've now proven that windowblinds actualy runs better then having the windows xp theme. This was not the case going back 1-2 years ago when Windowblinds seriously slowed down a machine. Also do a search for "Media Centre Style" and not the windowblinds version unless of course you'd preffer to us windowblinds. This style is one done by microsoft (msstyles) and will work without any program installed. It's nice :-).. check it out, do a google search as I cannot remember where I got it.

I run my laptop with all visuals off "Best Performance". I just never really got into the movement. After all those years with 95, 98, ME, Ill just stick with the classic view, not like it really makes a difference. I do change the 3D Objects to blue instead of grey. And a nice background. Thats as far as I go. But hey "Different strokes for different folks".

LOL, all those years with windows 95 and 98 are the reasons I've used windowblinds in the past :-)... but with windows xp and the Media centre style i'm happy to just use it and leave it alone. Although in the past I was an addict! LOL had to have a different look every couple of days but nowadays I cant even be bothered changeing my wallpaper (Must be getting old) LOL.

Not entirely (or so it seems for some people). Once the adjustment has been done to the theme service, it can be adjusted the program is gone

The windowsblinds makes use of the windows skinning service. It just replaces some resources here and there but all the method calls are the time
