Windows€ Xp Freezing At Chkdsk ..urgent..

Hey

My comp keep freezing at 2nd part of the CHKDSK at 5%.
Then after that i have to turn of computer by holding down the off button.

This is pretty urgent so if anyone can help with this problem I would really appreciate your help.

re install windows prolly a corrupt file, or filesystem
u can also try fixboot, or fixmbr

Not a wiz on the comp could u explain better please.
Right now just on laptop.
