windows 1.0 or 1.02??

Hey. I got 3 pc's and my first pc is junk basically. I never use it any more cause its slow and stuff. But i want to install windows 1.0 or windows 1.02 on it. But ive looked everywhere an no one has it. Any ideas? Oh an would it mess any thing up if i did it?
 
linux is a type of operating system, no it's not windows, it's linux, windows and linux are 2 different types of operating systems..
 
As old as useless as it is, Windows 1.0 is still copy protected and illegal to download. Look into buying a copy of Windows 3.0 or 3.1. I'm quite sure even an 8088 can run 3.0... Windows 1.0 is more of a DOS shell, and is all but pointless.
 
no im not looking for a downalod, im asking yall if yall know any good places or sites that would sell a original copy,
and i know its pointless but i want to see what i was like, just experiment ya know?
 
If I recall, DOS 6.2 came with Dos Shell. The program is almost identical to Windows 1.0. Up until Windows 3.x, there were no real 3rd party applications for windows. In other words, I still say it's a waste of time and money to try and find anything before 3.x :P
 
never used windows 1 nope....I came in earlier, but had a break and finally came back in to pc's when 95 was around....
 
i belive it was realesed in 1985.
an the reason im looking for older vesrion is to put them on my other pc an just have a lil fun with them, see what it was like
 
85! wow.......22 years or so.....snow be careful not to get caught in there.....it may be the best OS to date and you have to walk around telling your friend that you use windows 1 ....and that you just upgraded your PC to a whopping 256 Kb of memory. Pacman wont play on that!
