Hey all,
Noticed a bug with Windows 10 on my ThinkPad - sometimes when I close the lid of my laptop and the laptop goes to sleep, when I open the lid again the lock screen is frozen. I can't press any buttons on the trackpad or a mouse or press any keys on my keyboard. The only way I can use the machine again is to remove the battery.
I've had 10 on my ThinkPad since August 1st and I can't remember when it started doing this but it hasn't been doing it for as long as I've had 10 on it, so I'd say over the past few weeks.
I've done some research and it seems like this was a common bug in Build 10041 which was a beta build of 10 from about March. It seemed to mainly affect those with NVIDIA graphics cards however I have installed the latest graphics drivers for my Intel HD 4600 and still I've got an issue. Others say it only happens if Chrome is open when you close the lid, so tomorrow I'll try it with and without Chrome being open. Asides from maybe trying to update the chipset drivers and other drivers I'm not sure what else I can do. Any ideas?
Machine model is ThinkPad L540.
Thanks!
