After I was just done playing a game of League of Legends, my computer crashed. I restarted it, but then ended up in a boot recovery menu of Windows. It says (translated from Dutch): "The PC cannot be recovered with BootRecovery. Click on 'Advanced Options' if you want to try other options to recover your PC or click on 'Shut down' if you want to shut down the pc. "
(A picture of the screen I get when starting up my PC. It is in Dutch, and I translated it above.)
Now, I have been able to retrieve a log from the pc (SrtTrail.txt). It is in Dutch however, but I will put a link to the complete thing anyways. But the main thing of what it is saying is that the computer had problems with starting up, due to a file for starting up the computer being damaged.
The bit of the file that tells about the main cause (litteraly translated from Dutch, this might deviate from the actual English version):
Found main cause:
---------------------------
Essential file "e:\windows\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys" for startup has been damaged.
Recovery operation: File recovery.
Result: failed. Errorcode: 0x2
Time taken: 4703 ms.
Recovery operation: Checking and restoring the integrity of system files
Result: failed. Errorcode: 0x70
Time taken: 2813 ms
---------------------------
Complete log file link: https://pastebin.com/2E7UNG71 (the bit I translated here starts at line 97).
This is everything what the file says about any errors. Everything else in the file seems to be fairly normal.
The menu gives options about doing a complete system recovery and a few more options like that, and I have tried those, but unfortunately, it needs some space on the drive, and my boot drive is completely full, not even a single byte is available on it anymore (it was only a 60GB SSD).
Is there still a way to fix this problem, or do I just have to get a new drive and Windows installation?
And if I have to get a new drive and Windows installation, can I then still just clear the old drive to use it as an extra SSD?
