Windows 11, can't set up PIN

I've been using this laptop perfectly fine for a long time. Suddenly, it asks me to set up a PIN when the computer starts. I don't remember if I even had a PIN before this, or if it was just a password. I type in my password and verify my identity through email... then it always says it can't set up the PIN. The reason this is an issue for me is because I apparently need this PIN now to sign in through Google Remote Desktop on my phone, so I will be unable to use that until I get this problem fixed.

I did notice that it was asking me to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro in order to use Remote Desktop, but hopefully I read that wrong.
That's windows remote desktop, which is different than google remote desktop.

These things are not the same and not related to each other, but yes you need pro in order to use the microsoft RDP function.

Ok I figured it out. I went to the Chrome Remote Desktop site on my laptop and apparently there's some PIN that I never knew about or was asked about until now. I got it figured out, and now this phone no longer has to ask for a PIN.
