I am getting gonna be running 4 gigs of ram and windows 32bit will not use 4 gigs only 3 I believe I will need to use the windows 64 bit. Will I be able to upgrade from 32 to 64 without formatting my hd and installing windows all over again or do I just upgrade it without formatting and leaving all my files etc intact.

Please let me know.

I don't know if there is an "upgrade" to 64-bit. You may need to reformat, but unless you find an upgrade version, then you will need to reformat.

But, you have to have a bought copy of Vista 32-bit. You cant upgrade OEM (already on your pc) with the disk.
