What do you mean compatible? You just need to connect to it via wireless or wired, so you just need the drivers for your network card to work.

if it didnt work then I wouldn't have thought that it was due to the operating system, it would wither be you don't have the drivers for the network card or there was something wrong with the router (or network cable), especially if it's the wired connection that didn't work. Routers are generic, they work with all operating systems (all versions of windows, linux, unix(mac OS))

I would have thought so, unless you've got a reeeally big house then it should be fine. I can reach my wireless from the front of my house over a dual carriageway to the house over the other road (I tried it once while I was over there) so I wouldn't have thought there would be an issue unless your kitchen is lined with lead :P

I've just got a bt homehub2 and that works fine for everything. Before I had that I had one that looks similar to yours but 108mbps... though I didn't use it as I didn't have a modem for it at the time
