Windows 7 copy error

you've kinda answered your own question, have you tried shortening the file name? or maybe, if you have tried this, you may want to send some more information like what kind of files in the folder, the name your trying to use etc.

Well if you are inputting a filename greater than 255 characters then yes you will have trouble, if not run chkdsk, you may have errors / bad sectors on your disc.

1/ Type cmd in the search bar.
2/ At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
chkdsk drive: /f /r
