Windows 7 driver issues

Ok I don't know if im being retarded (if I am please don't flame me lol)

I have had Windows 7 installed on my machine for a LONG time but never used it as I had no drivers to get onto the net. All I did was play a little chess and copy some files from my phone.

Well I now want to get that copy up and running but can't for the life of me find any mobo drivers. I have searched the forum and cant seem to find any posts on this issue. I have read somewhere I may be able to use vista drivers (but I cant).

What am I doing wrong? Have I completely lost my mind or are they really that hard to find?

P.s. My computer is shown in the sig.

What happens when you try to install Vista drivers? Vista drivers worked for me but I didn't like windows 7 so got rid of it.

It says it does not support my version of Windows. I am using Vista 64bit drivers on Windows 7 64bit.

Perhaps its because I am using a fairly early build of Windows 7?

What brand and model computer do you have?

If it's custom, what motherboard do you have?

What version of Windows 7 do you have?

P.s. My computer is shown in the sig.
;) lol.

Its an Asus P5K-E/Wifi AP and its a custom build. As for the version I'm not sure, I cant check right now as im about to go out and logged into vista. Will reply tonight at some point.

Why does it say not genuine?
Because I have never registered it and its been installed about 3 months or more :P.

And as I can't get online I still cannot register it. Oh and it is a genuine beta copy I downloaded it from Microsoft (one of the original 2.5million copies) and got the serial key from Microsoft as well.

If it's a BETA copy, you won't be able to register it.

We’re sending this mail to remind you that Windows 7 Release candidate is available and to make sure you plan ahead for when the Beta expires on August 1, 2009. On June 1, 2009, the PC you’re using to test the Beta will begin shutting down every two hours.

I think you should hurry and download the RC and try installing that.

But HURRY.

We’ll continue to offer the RC download until August 20, 2009. After that, you won’t be able to get the download

Ah lame ... ok I will download that one, I probably wont use it, but it will allow me to get used to the extra features in Windows 7 that I don't have in Vista.

Gotta wait 2 and a half months before it turns up :(.
