Windows 7 DVD-disc or serial number?

My hard drive recently went out on me and i just bought a new one and installed it but i lost my operating system. I'm looking to get windows 7. Any suggestions on where can i get it cheap and if i should just by a serial number?

You can't just buy a serial number because you need an install disc.

This is the cheapest way to get into Windows 7, unless you're a student.

I got my windows 7 ultimate upgrade (which you can actually install from scratch!) 64-bit online for £60 from software4students.co.uk, but you MUST be a student!
