Hello, i recently installed windows 7 on my pc with a fresh install and when i go to play call of duty, rift, or any game i get very low fps around 10-20 but when i have windows xp installed i can go from 60-200 easy. At first i thought i was because i tried the windows 7 64 bit but the problem was with both versions of windows 7 . Here are my computer specs

Amd 2.2 quad core
asus m3n78 pro motherboard
nvida evga gtx 570
6gb ram

I made sure the video driver was the most up to date driver. For the mobo i had some trouble finding recent drivers but i believe i had the right drivers. Thanks for the help :)

tough to say, shouldnt have any trouble running these games on that system with either OS

The only thing I can say is double check your drivers again, are they the windows 7 versions of the drivers? You said you were using xp, take care not to install xp drivers in 7 to prevent issues. Is the issue for all your games or just the ones you mentioned?

Are you talking about call of duty: Black ops? If so, it does have performance issues in 7 and will work better in xp. But I have the game and I get 125+ fps on my system.

sometimes newest isnt best, might want to try an older driver honestly, i have that problem currently. Secondlife will NOT connect properly and gives me a code 8 error when it tries to load textures with the 280.26 driver from nvidia, however 275.33 works fine. im sticking with 275.33 as far as i can tell, no reason to grab a new driver if im not crashing...
