I have a new build PC & have purchased Windows 7 home premium full version.
Started to install the 64bit version, started OK until 'Expanding Windows' got part way then flashed up the following error 'WINDOWS CANNOT INSTALL REQUIRED FILES: THE FILE MAY BE CORRUPT OR MISSING. ERROR CODE: 0x80070570. any ideas? do I have a corrupt install disc?

When windows setup can't transfer files its most likely due to bad memory. Download and run memtest86 and check for memory errors.

http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.5a.iso.zip

Download the zipped file, unzip it and then use burning software to burn the iso image to a cd and then boot to the cd and it will automatically start testing. If you see any errors pop up then you know you have bad memory, however, it may only be 1 stick that is causing the errors. How many sticks of memory do you have installed? What size are they? You can try removing a stick at a time until you can install windows.
