Windows 7 Language bar help please.

Hi all, I don't know how it got there but down on my taskbar towards the clock is the letters EN.. I figured it out to be the language bar but i have no idea how it got there? Are there any websites i may of gone to that put it there? Other than that i cleaned my keys lightly but may of pushed something for it to appear. I have windows 7 on a laptop so i'm not sure what or if there are any shortcut keys to the language bar.

I don't know how to get rid of it, i don't want to do anything wrong as i haven't figured out how it appeared.

Any help much appriciated, thank you. :)
 
Well, its not a virus, or anything (it could be, but unlikely) just right click on taskbar, go to toolbars and uncheck the language bar!!!...
if you are using another language thats why it would appear, for example you may have English UK and US version, or like me i have UK and RU...
 
To get rid of the language bar do this. Go into control panel, open regional and language options, click on languages tab, click on the details button, click on the language bar under preferences, uncheck show language bar on desktop and uncheck show additional language bar icons in task bar.
