Windows 7 Mail Program

So I'm importing my outlook stuff to the new outlook I got for Windows 7. However I have 2 express accounts on my old computer I'm not sure what to do with. I don't mind installing windows mail, but I don't want all that other junk that comes with it. Any suggestions?

Windows Live Mail can be installed on its own, i actually found it to be a pretty nice mail program when i set it up on my dads computer. Just uncheck all the tabs except mail when you go to download it.

I personally run thunderbird, but only because i'm too lazy to switch everything over to outlook.

I've heard a lot of good things about thunderbird, so maybe I'll try that That being said, can I import my old outlook express emails from another computer into separate accounts while still keeping outlook 2007 as the default mail program?

Here's one option. if you need to save from another computer then install Thunderbird and it will ask if you want to import from outlook Express. go ahead and do it. run it and make sure it works well. if so you can download this free software that allows a backup for Firefox and or Thunderbird. then you can save the backup and replace it on the other computer (import). ive used for years and works well. As far as keeping Outlook as the default if you start Thunderbird or Outlook it will ask if you want it to be the default mail client. http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/
