I just got a Windows Activation message that says

" This pre-release Version of Windows 7 Ultimate will expire in 14 days.

To keep using Windows, back up your files, and then install any edition of Windows 7 Ultimate :("

I thought the Release Candidate was good til around June of '10

Anybody else having this issue?

I did update microsoft flashplayer video software today - I think it was Microsoft Silver so I could see some Olympic Videos. Could that have maybe caused my PC to have this issue?

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up

I guess i should've jumped on the Windows 7 for 89 bucks when it was around. I thought I had a few more months. :(

I think so. Make sure you back up any data files - and then you have to install all your hardware and apps again.

No, you don't have to do a 'custom install', you can just upgrade, it works. But I still recommend that you back up your files.

I'm getting this as well. I'm prepared to buy an OEM copy of the 32-bit OS for my laptop. My question is should I just spring for the 64-bit OS in preparation for a potential desktop build in the near future? Or does it not work that way with a single copy. I imagine one would want the 64 bit for a desktop instead of the 32 bit. Can anyone shed light on this situation?

Sorry to divert the subject a little bit:(
